Nobody knows how many winters Vrask has been dragging his tail through the mud.
Not even the Escamargos, who do not count years. They count scars.
He was born at the bottom of a swamp, among rotten roots and the bones of those who lost their way. There he learned the only thing that matters: whoever endures, rules.
For years he served Morlathe without asking questions. He dug his tunnels. He emptied his dungeons. He swallowed his orders and his punishments.
And he endured.
Until one day he was the strongest of them all. Morlathe looked at him, and named him chief of the Escamargos.
Today Vrask is one of his generals in the Greybottom Marshes, where the land swallows armies and the water never gives back what it takes.
The Escamargos follow him blindly.
Not because they love him.
Because they know that, as long as he stands, the swamp is theirs.

As leader, every ally critical hit grants more Attack for 2 turns. Escamargos gain 25% Max Health and Defense, and every fallen enemy gives them up to 50% Bloodlust.
Up to 20% extra damage. If all his allies are Escamargos when the battle starts, Vrask gains 10% Attack for the whole fight.
Up to 30% extra damage. Jinxes the enemy for 2 turns and, at its best level, Numbs them: their Feats take one more turn to recharge.
Up to 25% extra damage. Stuns the enemy for 1 turn.
Every time an enemy falls, Vrask gains up to 15% Defense, which stacks, and recovers up to 30% Health and 50% Shield.
For each Escamargo ally, Vrask gains up to 30% Defense, 30% Max Health and 15% Speed.
I asked Vrask what a general does when he loses a battle. He looked at me the way you look at a child. He told me he has never lost one. He has only waited for them to drown.
