Before the Brotherhood, Ser Halvor commanded the knights of the Order of the Dawn, and won every battle he swore to fight in the name of the light.
Veylor admired his talent so much that he offered him the chance to see the world without the lies of that light. Ser Halvor hesitated less than he would have liked to admit. He switched sides, and didn't live long enough to regret it, since Veylor decided to kill him with his own hands just so he could raise him again and put him in command of his undead hosts.
He died serving the Brotherhood. Veylor didn't let that stop him.
