No one at the Sanctuary of Mourning remembers seeing him arrive. One morning he was simply there, in the clearing, with the mist still clinging to the grass.
He is a stag. Or so it seems at first glance. Then you see the light that grows between his antlers, and you are no longer so sure.
They say Elyra touched him. That this is why he cannot do harm. It is not that he will not. It is that he cannot. Where others carry a sword, Lumen carries only one thing, and it is for healing.
The wounded come to him without fear. He lowers his head, rests his antlers on the wound, and the flesh closes as if it remembered how it used to be.
He does not speak. He has no need to.
In a world that is bleeding out, someone has to walk behind it closing wounds. Lumen has done it all his life. And he has never asked for anything in return.
Skills
Heals the ally you choose, from 3% to 15% of their life depending on the level. At its peak, that ally lunges in with an assisted Strike.
Heals an ally based on Lumen's own life: from 10% to 40% of it.
Heals the whole squad based on Lumen's life, from 7% to 15%. At its peak it rolls a d20: on 16 or more, Lumen lowers the cooldown of all his skills by one.
I watched him close the wound of a soldier he did not know. Then he stayed by his side until he fell asleep. I did not ask him anything.
