Older brother of Serathor Dawnblade, and the first to teach him how to hold a shield. Where Serathor chose the Sign and prayer, Aldric kept the steel and the front line, a protector of fortresses, not of causes.
Today he is master of squires of the Order of the Dawn, and none matters to him as much as Tobias Lenn, his direct apprentice: in him he sees exactly what he himself once was, a kid with a weapon still too big for him and a determination too big for his body.
Aldric argues with no one about faith or destiny. He simply plants himself in front, between danger and his own, as many times as it takes.
Skills
His basic attack, with a growing chance to stun whoever he hits.
Grants a real shield to an ally, bigger with every level, and at its peak he taunts for 2 turns to truly cover them.
Hits harder with every level, and at its peak, if the enemy is stunned, all his Young allies rush in to finish them off with him.
Gains Bloodlust every time a Young ally takes damage. If any ally falls in battle, he taunts immediately and his Defense skyrockets while it lasts.
If Serathor Dawnblade fights at his side and drops below 25% health, Aldric steps in and absorbs his damage for him, more and more the more he trains, until he protects him completely.
As leader, he boosts the whole squad's Defense (double for the Order of the Dawn), always protects his Young allies by absorbing the damage of any Strike or Feat aimed at them, and at its peak, every critical hit he takes makes him bigger: he gains Health and Max Protection for good.
I once asked him why he protects so fiercely those who are not even his. He looked at me as if the question made no sense. For Aldric, anyone who wears the Order is already his.
