Kritch does not fight. He hunts.
In the Mugrecueva Clan everyone shouts, shoves and charges at the enemy. Kritch stays behind, silent, watching where each of them will step.
As a whelp he went down alone into the tunnels the Dwarves had dug beneath his cave. He was looking for scrap. He found a dwarven iron trap, hidden in the dust.
It snapped shut on his leg.
The Dwarves heard the screams, came over with their lanterns and laughed. Then they left.
He spent three nights down there. On the fourth he freed himself with his teeth and a scrap of rotten rope.
He dragged that trap back to the cave. He has never let go of it. It is the same one he carries on his back today.
Since then, every time a Dwarf bleeds, something wakes up inside him. It is not rage. It is hunger.
The Dwarves taught him, without meaning to, the only lesson he cares about: the best weapon is the one nobody sees.
Now he hides his traps beside whoever he wants to protect. The first one to strike that person, enemy or ally, is stuck where they stand. A trap does not ask whose side you are on.
His rope slows anyone who runs at him. Dwarves, twice as much: for them he keeps a knot that took him years to perfect.
With his hook he pulls, drags and strikes. And when it lands, sometimes he sees the next blow coming before anyone throws it.
He is neither good nor evil. He sets traps for whoever pays him, for his clan or for himself. But if there is a Dwarf on the field, nobody needs to pay him.
In Mugrecueva they say Kritch never sleeps. Not true. He sleeps with one eye open and the rope in his hand.

Frequently asked questions
Who is Kritch in Bloodveil: Legends?
The goblin trapper of the Mugrecueva Clan. While the rest of the clan shouts and charges at the enemy, he stays behind, silent, watching where each of them will step. Kritch does not fight. He hunts.
Why does Kritch hate Dwarves?
As a whelp he went down into the tunnels the Dwarves had dug beneath his cave and got caught in a dwarven iron trap. The Dwarves heard him scream, laughed and left. He spent three nights there. On the fourth he freed himself with his teeth. The trap he carries on his back is that very one.
How do you get Kritch?
By collecting his shards on node 23 of the Twilight path, in the campaign.
What does Kritch do in battle?
With Rope and Hook he strikes and, sometimes, gains Precognition and dodges the next attack. With Trap he hides a snare next to an ally or next to himself: the first one to hit them is Stunned and caught in a Snare. With Tied Feet he slows every enemy, Dwarves twice as much. And with Iron Debt he gains Bloodlust every time an enemy Dwarf takes damage.
How does the Snare work?
Whoever is caught in a Snare rolls 1d20 at the start of their turn. On 11 or more, they break free of one Snare. Below that, they suffer 1 Wound and lose health. No magical cleansing removes it: you get out of a snare by pulling, not by praying.
What faction is Kritch?
The Mugrecueva Clan, the cave goblins. He is Twilight: neither good nor evil, he sets traps for whoever pays him, for his clan or for himself.
More from this faction
I asked Kritch whether he has ever forgiven a Dwarf. He took his time answering. Then he pulled on the rope, and I realised I had been tied to my chair for a while.
